FORM & DYNAMISM
The Porsche Museum seems to be in constant motion, like a car at full speed. Its sharp angles, flowing lines and sculptural form convey a strong sense of dynamism, power and speed.
STRUCTURE & TECHNICAL ACHIEVEMENT
Like the cars displayed inside, the building itself is a remarkable technical achievement. An exceptional structural system supports the vast cantilevered volume, creating large spans and minimal points of contact with the ground.
A FLOATING VOLUME
The museum appears to float above the ground. Visitors enter from underneath the building and gradually rise into the exhibition spaces. This unusual approach reinforces the feeling of discovering a monumental object suspended in space, almost weightless.
